An APS success story...

"Portrait of an aircraft: The CRJ Series"

"Bombardier led the way in the regional revolution with its pioneering CRJ Series, and has been rewarded with a bulging order book.As of June 1, 2001, the overall CRJ programme has attracted 1,100 firm orders and 1,150 conditional orders and options for a total of 2,250 aircraft, making it the most successful regional aircraft programme in history".

"The CRJ story can be traced back to 1986, when Canadair (now known as Bombardier) commissioned Aviation Planning Services (APS) of Montreal to analyse the potential for a regional jet. The report, compiled by APS after extensive discussions with 130 major and regional airlines, was positive, and prompted Canadair to draw up a preliminary concept for a 48 seat aircraft".
